Liquid Sodium Lignosulfonate – Grade One Data and Feed Qualification

Liquid Lignosulfonate product appearance

Liquid Sodium Lignosulfonate – Grade One (GAC-NaLS-L) is a black, flowable lignosulfonate solution. The current industrial Grade One TDS positions it primarily for ceramics, casting sand and fiberboard binder systems and also lists fodder pellets as a potential application.

Feed-use boundary: the Grade One TDS is not, by itself, evidence of feed-grade status or regulatory approval. Animal-feed buyers must separately confirm product-grade suitability, manufacturing controls, contaminant limits, traceability and applicable market documentation before formulation or purchase.

Current Grade One TDS values

Parameter TDS value
Product code GAC-NaLS-L
Appearance Black liquid
Solid content 45% min
Water-insoluble matter 1% max
Lignosulphonate content 50% min
Reducing sugar Around 7%
Density 1.20-1.32 g/ml

Values are product-reference data from TDS GAC-NaLS-L, Revision 2.0. Batch-specific results must be confirmed on the shipment COA. The current TDS does not specify a guaranteed pH range.

What feed and pellet buyers should confirm

  • Written confirmation that the offered grade is intended and compliant for the target feed application and destination market.
  • Current TDS, SDS, COA, ingredient identity, traceability and relevant contaminant or microbiological controls.
  • Species, formula, pellet diameter, conditioning temperature, moisture, die configuration and target pellet-quality metrics.
  • Palatability, nutrient interactions, storage stability and any local labeling or registration requirements.

Pellet-binder evaluation

When an approved feed-suitable liquid grade is available, its binder and processing-aid performance should be tested in the actual formula. Use a control and a recommended trial range supplied for that grade; measure throughput, energy use, pellet durability, fines, moisture, water stability where relevant and animal acceptance. Do not transfer the ceramic addition range in the industrial TDS to animal feed.

Packaging, storage and handling

  • Packaging: IBC tote or flexitank.
  • Storage: cool, dry and well ventilated; protect from freezing.
  • Shelf life: 12 months from manufacture under recommended conditions.
  • Handling: avoid mist inhalation and eye or skin contact; keep containers closed and follow the current SDS.

Industrial ceramic, casting-sand or fiberboard inquiries should use the LigninCorp Grade One product page. For feed-grade or pellet-binder qualification, contact info@greenagrochem.com and specify the animal species, market and processing conditions.
